CAPTURE

The design of this residence is a result of the complex negotiation between the physical site conditions, the historic nature of the property, which incorporates two earthquake refugee cottages, and the constraints of planning code.  The two-story addition is pushed to the rear of the property, then connected to the main residence by a hallway, capturing a courtyard between.
