TWIST

The design for the third-story addition of this house is derived from the complex hillside topography of its site. The rooflines extrude the building up to the third level, then twist to respond to the slope of the streets to either side of it. The form of the addition negotiates the exterior site conditions as well as the internal logic of various programmatic zones. ​
